The steady drip of Florida bugs, handled at once
Most Orlando pest problems are not dramatic. They are the slow background noise of Florida life: ants on the kitchen counter in March, a palmetto bug in the laundry room after a storm, spider webs collecting in the eaves by summer, silverfish in the bathroom year-round. Each one is small. Together, they make your home feel like it is not fully yours.
General pest control treats them as one connected problem, because they are. The same gaps in your weatherstripping let in ants and roaches. The same mulch bed harbors earwigs and palmetto bugs. One inspection finds the entry points and attractants behind all of them, and one plan addresses them together — instead of a separate fight per bug.
What a visit actually looks like
We start outside, because that is where pests come from. The foundation line, mulch beds, door and window frames, eaves, and trash areas get treated to stop insects before they cross the threshold. Inside, we treat cracks, crevices, and entry points — behind the fridge, under sinks, along baseboards — not your counters and not your floors. Targeted placement is the whole point: product where pests travel, not where your family lives.
After the first treatment, we walk you through what we saw: the worn door sweep, the mulch piled against the siding, the pipe gap under the sink. Fixing those small things is half the battle, and most are weekend projects.
Why Orlando homes need it on a schedule
Central Florida has no winter reset. Heat, rain, and irrigation break treatments down, and something is active every month of the year. A one-time spray fades; a maintained barrier holds. That is why most of our general pest control customers are on a quarterly plan — four visits a year, each one timed ahead of what is coming instead of reacting to what arrived.
How It Works: From First Call to Covered
Here is exactly what happens when you call us. No mystery, no upsell gauntlet.
- Free inspection. We walk your whole property, inside and out: attic, garage, kitchen, bathrooms, perimeter, mulch beds, eaves. We look for entry points, moisture, food sources, and the pests themselves, and we show you what we find as we go.
- A written plan. You get a plain-English plan before anything happens: which pests we found, where they are coming from, what we will treat, how often we will come, and what it costs. You approve it first.
- The first treatment. We establish the exterior barrier and treat the interior hot spots we mapped. This is the most thorough visit, usually 45 to 90 minutes depending on the home.
- Scheduled follow-ups. Quarterly visits refresh the barrier before it fades. Each visit includes a fresh perimeter check, and we adjust the plan if pest pressure changes.
- Free re-treats between visits. If pests show up between scheduled visits, call us. We come back and re-treat at no extra charge. You never wait for the next quarter.
Where the products go, and where they do not
Placement is the whole job. Outside, we build the barrier along the foundation line, around door and window frames, along eaves, and through mulch beds and harborage zones. Inside, we treat cracks, crevices, and voids: behind the refrigerator and stove, under sinks, along baseboards, around pipe penetrations. We do not spray your counters, your floors, or your food areas.
Products are chosen for the pest and applied exactly per label. If you have kids, dogs, cats, or backyard chickens, tell us during the inspection and we plan placement around them. As a rule, keep people and pets out of treated areas until surfaces are dry, usually one to two hours. We will confirm the timing at every visit.
The Orlando pest calendar we plan around
Every quarterly visit is timed for what is coming next, not what already arrived.
January through March: the dry season. Ants push indoors as colonies expand, and roaches head for moisture inside homes. This visit focuses on interior entry points and the perimeter before spring foraging peaks.
April through June: everything ramps up. Termite swarmers fly, ants forage hard, wasps start nests under eaves, and spiders web the soffits. The barrier goes up at full strength ahead of peak season.
July through September: storm season. Heavy rain floods ground nests and mulch beds, driving roaches and ants indoors within days. Treatments get refreshed and we watch for the post-storm surge.
October through December: the brief cool snaps push rodents and spiders toward the house. We check exclusion points, clear webs, and keep the barrier continuous into the new year.
Small habits that make treatment work better
Treatment does the heavy lifting, but a few homeowner habits multiply it. Seal dry goods and pet food in hard containers. Fix drips and leaks under sinks. Keep mulch pulled back from the siding and trim branches off the roof. Replace worn door sweeps. Take trash out on schedule and keep the cans clean. Declutter the garage and storage areas where pests hide. None of this replaces professional treatment, but homes that do both stay noticeably quieter between visits, and we will point out your specific opportunities during the inspection.
